Hey everyone, it’s me—Guillaume! (Don’t stress about the name… even my friends gave up and just call me “G”—feel free to do the same if we meet!). Together with Hammer (whose real name is Shuk Yee – yes, we’ve got quite the international name combo going!), We created this blog for couples who believe travel should be equal parts adventure and love story.

Yes, it sounds crazy, but I was lucky enough to study and work abroad multiple times. From France (my home country) to Germany, the UK, Ireland, the US, China, Switzerland, Singapore, Hong Kong (though it’s officially a special admin region of China), South Korea, and Malaysia.
I slept at the Everest Base Camp in Tibet
One of the most unforgettable adventures of my life!
At 21 while living in China, some friends and I embarked on a wild 48-hour journey to Tibet by train! We pushed all the way to the first Everest base camp and spent the night there. The altitude, the stars, the sheer madness of it – absolutely amazing!
I moved into Hammer’s apartment after just one month of knowing each other.
By fate (or some very fortunate circumstances), I needed to move out of my apartment in Hong Kong on very short notice – and Hammer offered me to move in with her. We’ve been inseparable ever since!

My passion for travel runs deep—literally in my DNA.
My parents set the ultimate example: they married in Nepal and trekked the Annapurna Circuit for their honeymoon. That spirit of adventure? It’s family tradition. No wonder I ended up living in 10 different countries in my life!
What they did in the 1960s was borderline revolutionary for their era. They carried film cameras, relied on paper maps, and embraced discomfort as part of the journey. That pioneer spirit didn’t just inspire me—it set my standard for what travel should be: raw, connective, and transformative.
