We opted for some pork neck, pad thai, chicken thai basil with rice and some fresh juices! It was perfect and so cheap, probably less than 200 baht for everything. We found a small table right by the river, so we could observe the boats going through the market. We loved it!

For us, taking the small boat tour was actually the highlights. Although we went on a few canal tours around Bangkok, we appreciated this one even more! We could really observe the local lives, the quiet and quaint areas, some temples… the whole atmosphere made us feels miles away from Bangkok!

You don’t need to book the boat tour, by the river, you will someone selling boat tour tickets for 100 baht. Once the boat is full (about 8 people), then the trip starts for 1 hour.

The boat trip also stops at another local floating market (Wat Saphan Ratchaphruek) for 20 minutes which was super nice!

Overall, 10 out 10! We highly recommend the trip.

Enjoy a great cup of coffee

Enjoying an Affogato at the floating market

If you’ve been reading this blog already, you must know by now that we are BIG coffee lovers! And lucky us, we found a beautiful spot to enjoy a great cup of coffee!

For that, opposite the market, cross a little bridge from the market and you will find along the canal a place called The Pine Farm & Cafe.

It’s actually a small farms where you can feed all kinds of animal (turtles, rabbits, birds etc.) and they also have a beautiful glasshouse serving great coffee! We couldn’t help ourselves and ordered a delicious Affogato.
