Athens to Mykonos by Ferry. Waiting at the Ferry Pier

The difference between the companies is mainly due to the model of ferry used. The fastest are multihulls which cut through the waves at astonishing speed. The slower ones are more conventional tourist boats but still allow you to enjoy a nice maritime trip.

In both cases, the journey turns out to be very pleasant. You can enjoy the interior comfort of the boat or venture out onto the deck. In this case, beware of spray and gusts of wind carrying away hats and caps without warning! This is the opportunity to see dolphins and fish and take splendid photos.

If you are transported, opt for a Catamaran-car ferry (CC) or a Car ferry (CF). They are offered in particular by the company Seajets or Blue Star.

Drinks & Food: Ferries offer drinks at the bar or even a catering service. On the other hand, the prices charged are higher than on dry land! It is still very pleasant to drink a glass of Greek rosé while admiring the splendor of the sea 🙂
