South Korea is often ranked as one of the worst country when it comes to vegan food and one of the country with the highest ratio of meat consumption per capita. However, Vegan food is becoming more and more popular (check out the best vegan restaurants in Jeju also). We found a few hidden gems in Seoul. So here is our list of favorite vegan restaurants in Seoul.
1. Osegye Hyang in Insadong
Osegye Hyang is located in one of our favorite neighborhood in Seoul, Insadong. We wrote a full post about Insadong here.
Osegye Hyang, can be hard to find, as it is located at the end of a small alley from the main street of Insadong. The restaurant is very traditional, being in a Hanok. Once you arrive you must remove your shoes, and find a seat on a pillow on the floor. The food at Osegye Hyang is really delicious, having all sorts of Vegan dishes with Korean flavors.
This restaurant is one of our favorite vegan place in Seoul.
